but insane possibility. But it wasn’t possible. She couldn’t bring
herself to entertain the fact that he was... No, she couldn’t even
think it. It was a bang on the head. That’s the only answer, she
thought. The only thing that made sense. Rose was drifting away
in thought, self arguing the facts.
“Rose, are you ok?”
“Yes, I’m fine. I don’t know what to say. I think I just need to
think about this for a bit, sorry William, I’ll see you later.”
Rose had to walk away. she had to think. William’s heart sank.
He had opened up to someone who he thought would listen and
sha had walked away. Was he really going mad or was it like
Rose said. Maybe he did have a bang on the head, it would make
sense if only his memories weren’t so clear. Just let her go, he
thought. It was an awful lot to take in. He would give her time.

The evening was creeping in at Church Street. Once again, the
usual trade was coming to an end and the station was starting to
empty itself of its daily hustle and bustle. As usual, Rose and
Jimmy were packing up their business and preparing to go home.
Rose was still full of thought from the days events with William.
She wanted to believe and make sense of it all but still, those
questions still could not be answered.
She looked around the station, William was nowhere to be seen.
She was pleased of that for the time being, it relieved the tension a
little and prevented an awkwardness she really didn’t want to feel
with him around.
Jimmy had been keeping an eye on her all afternoon. He had
noticed that something wasn’t quite right but had refrained from
saying anything, he didn’t want to add to her worries. If she
wanted to talk, all she needed to do was ask. He would leave
things, at least for the time being. There was one thing he was
positive of though, the cause of Rose’s thoughts was that damn
