In the history of the program, the Scarlet Knights have 15 ranked wins. 12 of them have come over the
past three seasons, with nine of those over the past two years, signaling the continued improvement of
the program under head coach Meredith Civico. This season marked the second consecutive year
that RU downed a pair of top-ten foes in the same year.
Rutgers' four Big Ten wins this season matches the program's best since joining the league. The
program compiled a three-game winning streak in Big Ten play for only the second time since joining
the conference.
“Overall we made some really big gains this season. Some individual players had outstanding
performances, specifically, Katie Larmour, Giana Glatz and Austyn Cuneo. Our team culture is better
than it's ever been. We have a very large core of players returning next season and I'm excited about
what they're going to be able to bring in 2020.”

Two wins stand out among the rest, and the Scarlet Knights season was highlighted by a pair of top-10
victories. First, on the road, RU matched its highest ranked win in program history by downing No. 6
Princeton 2-1. It was the second straight year that RU defeated No. 6 Princeton.
Rutgers rallied from an early deficit, as freshman Rachel Houston’s first career goal tied the game in
the second quarter. With just eight minutes to go in the game, Gracey Butsack provided the game-
winning goal off a corner, as RU’s defense held on from there.
