The win marked the program's first win over the Tigers at Princeton since November 2, 1977 and first
time downing them in consecutive years since 1977 and 1978. After Rutgers won at Princeton, the
Tigers continued on and advanced to this season’s NCAA Championship game.

In October, the Scarlet Knights defeated No. 7 Michigan for the first time ever in resounding fashion.
The Scarlet Knights won 3-0, with three-goal margin of victory the team's largest ever against a ranked,
       Big Ten opponent.

Katie Larmour, Austyn Cuneo and Kerrie Burns had the goals, while Gianna held the Wolverines
scoreless for the shutout. It tied for the highest ranked Big Ten team RU has ever beaten and was the
largest margin of defeat for the Wolverines on the year.

“We had some big wins against Princeton, who played in the NCAA final and a fantastic win against
Michigan, our first ever win against Michigan, scoring
three outstanding goals. We were competitive against
the top 10 teams on our schedule. Those big wins show
that we can be anybody. The win against Michigan
specifically in our conference, that was a big win as far as
confidence goes. And that's a team that consistently
competes for championships and to have a significant
win over them as well, we scored some outstanding
goals, I think that really gave the team in the program a
lot of confidence and belief that we can beat and
compete with any team in the country. Beating Princeton
two years in a row, that says a lot about our program and
about our team. This team and this program want to
compete and win championships. And that's our goal.
And that's what we're going to continue to look to do
going into next season. Head Coach Meredith Civico
