Meet The Registry Collection Program’s North America Team
The Registry Collection’s team in North America brings a slew of experience and knowledge from the travel
and shared ownership industries. Here we highlight the backgrounds and responsibilities of some
of the team members.
David D. McDonald, RRP
Director, Business Development, Western U.S.
David McDonald, RRP, is director, Business Development for RCI and The Registry Collection. He and
his staff are dedicated to providing onboarding for new affiliations, sales, marketing and operational
support for current affiliated resorts and resort-community developers.
A graduate of Miami University (B.A. Public Administration), he joined RCI in 2002. He served as
director of North America Revenue Management for his first five years and has served since in his
current role in Business Development. In his current role, he oversees a team of account executives
that manage RCI and The Registry Collection affiliated properties in the Western U.S. and Hawaii.
Prior to RCI, David worked for Budget for 15 years in various markets. He spent 10 years in various
roles for operations and fleet distribution before moving to financial and analytical roles leading the
Revenue Management department.
David uses his background of operations, finance, and business planning to consult and help develop
new entrants into the Leisure Real Estate industry. David has been awarded the American Resort
Development Association’s (ARDA) highest designation – Registered Resort Professional (RRP) — and
graduated in the inaugural Leadership-Education-Action-Progression-Service (LEAPS) class. He is
based in the Indianapolis office.
Tim McLaughlin
Director, Business Development, Eastern U.S.
Tim McLaughlin is director of Business Development for RCI and The Registry Collection, and manages
a variety of client relationships with the goal of growing business and integrating strong sales and
service related solutions. Tim’s career spans over 30 years gaining learning experiences on both the
development and services sides of the industry.
A Business Administration gradute from the University of Indianapolis, Tim is a 16 year veteran at
RCI. He often speaks at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management
and is active in industry relations. Tim is based in the Orlando office.
