Membrane Bioreactors (MBR’s)

Internal/Submerged membranes require support equipment, including

pumps to remove the cleaned wastewater known as permeate and a

blower to provide oxygen to the mixed liquor, as well as to passively

scrub the membranes of surface film and debris.

This is known as Air Induced Cross Flow.
