Operator Facility Rounds
High Flow Rounds
Seasonal rain or high storm flow events can overwhelm a wastewater facility.
Rounds need to be modified during high flow events to prioritize points of facility
vulnerability before the other routine duties are performed.
Points of high flow vulnerability can include (but not be limited to):
Main Lift Station
The main lift station receives wastewater flow from most of, or all the upstream
lift stations.
If the main lift station is on or nearby the facility site, rounds may include
checking pump condition and wet well level.
High flow grit and debris can jam a lift pump.
