Crash Cart
Crash carts are used to help animals that have stopped
breathing, are choking, or their hearts have stopped
beating (Figure 4.17). Most clinics will assign the upkeep
of this cart to the veterinary technician; however, the
veterinary assistant may be assigned to do it. A good
practice is to replace the crash cart items with new each
week or month and use any “short‐dated” or older prod-
ucts in the clinic so you aren’t throwing anything away
