Ground Defence


                                               Situation Three: Your assailant has
                                               forced you to the ground and is about
                                               to finish you with a stomp.
                                               1) Roll into him and grab his support
                                                  leg. (Fig. 213)
                                               2) Drive your elbow into the back of
                                                  his knee joint and bring him to the
                                                  ground. (Fig. 214)


                                               This counter requires speed and
                                               commitment. It takes a hard elbow
                                               blow to buckle his knee, but when you
                                               achieve it he drops like a sack. Practise
                                               on a heavy bag until you can deliver it
                                               with real power.
