Combat Kick Boxing

          Head-Butt: Close Range
Situation Six: Your assailant tries to
          head-butt you.
          1) Twist to your left and drive a flat
palm to his forehead. (Fig. 125)
          2) Throw a short right cross to his
             chin without raising your elbow.
             (Fig. 126)
          3) Pivot strongly over your left foot
and throw a left shovel hook to his
             liver. (Fig. 127)

          This defence requires fast reactions
and an appreciation of what is likely at
close range. You must be very wary of
head-butts – they can finish you before
you even know you are in a fight. Try
to maintain distance and use a pre-
emptive strike if you feel the situation
          has become threatening.
