Day 2: Exploring Connemara. Connemara, the area surrounding Ashford Castle, is quite
lovely and well worth a few hours of exploration.
Your private driver/guide (we suggest one of our
local drivers today) will lead you on a half-day,
scenic tour of this beautiful countryside in the
morning. The wild, coastal scenery of Connemara
is quite stunning. You might stop at the tiny
town of Roundstone and visit Kylemore Abbey
with its famous walled garden. The abbey became
home to a community of nuns who fled here after
their abbey in Belgium was destroyed in World
War I. You may wander the lovely garden
grounds or explore the gothic church and castle buildings.

Your driver will leave you off at your accommodations after your tour. Enjoy the afternoon at
               leisure on property.

               Proposed Accommodations: Ashford Castle

Day 3: Day at Leisure. Spend the day enjoying some of the many activities available on
property including falconry, spa services, shooting, and much more (cost of experiences not
included in this program). While there are three restaurants on property, you might like to sample
Pat Cohan’s, a simple bistro located in the nearby tiny village of Cong.

Day 4: On to County Claire via Galway. Meet your driver/guide for the balance of the
program this morning as you say farewell
to Ashford Castle and continue the
adventure in Galway, located just 1 hr
away. Transport will be by late-model
               Mercedes V-Class luxury minivan with
               leather captain’s chair seating. You’ll
meet a local guide upon arrival for a 2-hr
historical walking tour. Galway is a
scenic harbor town featuring scores of
shops and cafes and a lively ambiance thanks to a strong economy and a large student
population. The ancient capital of the Gaelic province of Connacht, the city is situated on
Galway Bay at the confluence of the Corrib River and the Atlantic. Columbus stopped here
during one of his voyages to the Americas, so you can imagine that the city’s seafaring history is
