quite rich. The lovely setting has long attracted artists, writers and musicians. You might stroll
the charming Latin Quarter, which features medieval lanes, art galleries, shops, pubs and
restaurants. Check out Eyre Square, the largest open, public space in the city. We particularly
enjoy strolling the seafront promenade to Salthill, which offers exceptional views along the bay
to the city and across to the Aran Islands. Be sure to kick the wall at the end of the promenade
for good luck.
Depart Galway following lunch on your own and perhaps some time at leisure. Your driver will
lead you via a very scenic route along Galway Bay for the 1 hr 20 min journey to your
accommodations in County Clare in the countryside near the village of Ballyvaughan. Enjoy the
evening at leisure upon arrival. Dinner on property certainly makes sense tonight.
Proposed Accommodations for 2 nights: Gregans Castle, a delightful countryside hotel
featuring a tranquil setting and fine views stretching across the Burren to Galway Bay
Day 5: Exploring County Clare and Golf at Lahinch. We have reserved tee times for the
gents at 12:10 p.m. at The Old Course at Lahinch Golf Club today. As Lahinch is just 35 min
from your accommodations, your driver will customize your touring accordingly and there is no
need to have a separate transfer for golf arrangements.
We love County Clare for its unspoiled beauty, spectacular coastline, exceedingly friendly locals
and quaint coastal villages. Your driver will share the treasures of County Clare, including the
Cliffs of Moher, the tallest coastal cliffs in
Europe and just 30 min from your
accommodations. You can also consider
exploring other areas of the coast such as the
nearby village of Lahinch. En route, we can
arrange for a stop for a private walk through
the “moonscape" of the Burren with a
knowledgeable guide, who will fill you in on
the geology, archeology, history, flora and
wildlife of the region. The Burren is an area
of outstanding natural beauty and includes
turloughs, great expanses of limestone pavement, stunning “wallscapes” and a mix of
wildflowers from the Alps, the Mediterranean and the Arctic.
Proposed Accommodations: Gregans Castle
