- The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001 requires all Filipino
male and female students in undergraduate courses to undergo 6 units of NSTP
courses as graduation requirement.
- IFSU implements two (2) NSTP components, the Reserved Officers Training
Corps and the Civic Welfare Training Service. The NSTP has two parts; NSTP 1
should be taken during first semester of the freshman year and the NSTP2 should
be completed during the second semester of the freshman/sophomore year.
Goals and Objectives
- To enhance the civic-consciousness and defense-preparedness of the youth.
- To develop the spirit/attitude of service and patriotism among the students.
- To advance the youth involvement in public and civic affair.
Services
- Provides modules along the areas of physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and
social well-being of the students.
- Establishes linkages with various communities.

Recreation and Sports Activities
Goals and Objectives
- To assist in the total development of the students through activities designed for
the wise use of leisure time
- To promote the development of self-confidence, sportsmanship, and health of
students
Services
- Conduct of Intramurals and other sports and recreation activities on campus
- Management and maintenance of sports facilities and equipment
- Facilitation of sports exhibitions, competitions or contests in the campus

Security Services
Goals and Objectives
- To commit to the timely delivery of security services in a professional and sensitive
manner, treating all persons with the utmost respect, dignity, and absolute fairness;
- Focus on the delivery of quality services to all people/clientele within the school
premises;
- Seek collegial partnership with community stakeholders and provide inclusive
solutions to security problems for the campus that best meets the needs of the
large and diverse community we serve;
- Develop partnership not only within the University community but with external
agencies and organizations in order to provide better and more efficient service to
the community.
