The Early Education Program serves
children ages six weeks to five years old
(VPK-4). Accredited by the National
Association for the Education of Young
Children (NAEYC), this program
demonstrates standards of high-quality
early childhood education including a safe, healthy environment and
developmentally appropriate curriculum. Comprehensive, research-
based, Creative Curriculum® is utilized to promote learning through
exploration and discovery. Conscious Discipline®, an evidence-based
comprehensive initiative, is employed to manifest opportunities to teach
life skills. Additionally, Continuity of Care is practiced to ensure children
remain with the same teachers and caregivers for multiple years to
produce secure attachments.
Madelaine Halmos Academy is a private
elementary school serving kindergarten
through fifth grade. The Academy’s
STEAM (science, technology,
engineering, arts, and math) curriculum
and robust program nurture the whole
child by combining academic, social-emotional, and wellness elements to
ensure a highly-effective educational experience. Program elements
include project-based curriculum, wellness activities, engaging
extracurricular activities, integrated technology including smart boards
and individual devices for each student, on-site counseling and
therapeutic services, enrichment activities, and interactive, educational
field trips. The Academy develops lifelong learners, launching them into
bright, prosperous futures by providing all students with a Florida Prepaid
two-year college scholarship through The Opportunity Scholarship Fund,
Presented by the Halmos Family.
The Out of School Program at Madelaine Halmos Academy supports
social, emotional, and cognitive learning beyond the academic day and
during Summer Camp. In the 2019-20 academic year, the program
began its three-year STEAM partnership with United Way of Broward
County, to successfully implement STEAM-centered projects and forge
5 new community partnerships with science and technology organizations.
