The comprehensive Family Program
engages and supports families by
providing intensive parent education,
case management, referrals, and an array
of other support services including one-
on-one financial coaching, therapeutic
services, access to the J&J Boutique (food and clothing pantry) and
Family Resource Room/ computer lab, Thanksgiving and Holiday family
adoption, and emergency assistance funding. The Family Program also
assists with resume writing, job searches, goal setting, and family
budgeting. Parent education classes being offered this year include:
Nurturing Parenting Series
Couponing & Financial Literacy Series
First Time Home Buyers Series
Healthy Relationships Series
Health & Wellness Series
Through the Family Program, families gain the skills, knowledge, and
resources they need in order to increase self-sufficiency and foster their
child's healthy growth and development.
The Health Program provides
comprehensive and integrated health
services in collaboration with community
resources for the children, families, and
team members at Jack & Jill Center. This
program was designed using the CDC's
Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) Model.
Through comprehensive assessments, provision of health services,
preventative healthcare, and community partnerships, this program has a
significant positive impact on students, families, and team members,
especially in regards to providing COVID-19 information and on-site
testing for prevention of spread. Best-loved, this program features a
certified therapy dog named Fenway who works directly with children to
provide support and relieve stress with measurable beneficial outcomes
including improved test scores and school attendance.
