                                               Innovation in an Unexpected Place—
                                               delivery-only restaurants, pick-up-only concepts—call them what you will
                                               —have thrived during COVID-19 and are likely to change the way the
                                               food industry does business indefinitely.

                                               The  unorthodox  and  compelling  origin  stories  of  many  food  delivery
                                               concepts  that  emerged  during  the  pandemic  have  contributed  to  their
                                               rise  in  popularity.  This  is  especially  true  for  sMiles  Gourmet  Pudding
                                               (@sMilesGourmetPudding  /  www.smilesgourmetpudding.com)  and
                                               Calvin-Dumplings  (@CalvinDumplings)  which  have  well  over  80K
                                               Instagram followers combined as of January 2022.

                                               In the case of sMiles Gourmet Pudding, one out-of-work chef and a new
                                               baby named Miles at home sparked a delicious idea. Chef and owner, Brad
                                               Turetzky,  who  began  his  culinary  journey  at  the  prestigious  Culinary
                                               Institute  of  America  in  New  York,  put  his  unique  and  creative  spin  on
                                               classic banana pudding. What began as a much-loved, fun treat for friends
                                               and family has quickly become one of South Florida’s most sought-after
                                               desserts.

                                               For  Calvin-Dumplings,  what  started  as  a  way  for  Calvin  to  renew  and
                                               celebrate his relationship with his mother, Shirley, after living across the
                                               globe from each other for decades has turned into a thriving dumpling
                                               business.  Together,  the  pair  now  make  more  than  1,000  authentic,
                                               mouthwatering dumplings from scratch each week.

                                               As a result of the immense demand for their food items, both Brad and
                                               Calvin decided to grow their local and family-oriented small businesses by
                                               seeking out the part-time use of a commercial kitchen to prepare their
                                               food  for  off-premises  consumption.  The  stars  aligned  to  divulge  a  new
                                               type of community partnership for Jack & Jill Center, the emergence of a
                                               ghost  kitchen  called  “1315Kitchen”,  operating  from  the  commercial
                                               kitchen no longer in use in the Halmos Family Building which houses the
                                               Early  Education  Program  due  to  the  completion  of  Madelaine  Halmos
                                               Academy’s kitchen which serves the entire campus.

                                               Jack & Jill Center is excited to have begun their partnerships with Calvin-
                                               Dumplings and sMiles Gourmet Pudding, and cannot wait to partner with
