The 16th Annual MEDNAX Flip Flops on the Docks

...........................................On Saturday, May 8, 2021 the Friends of Jack
& Jill Center made a big splash at Lauderdale Yacht Club for The 16th
Annual MEDNAX Flip Flops on the Docks presented by MOSS. A wild
success, this event was voted Best Nonprofit Fundraiser by Fort
Lauderdale Magazine in 2021! Guests left their heels and ties at home to
enjoy the panoramic backdrop of Fort Lauderdale, delicious drinks,
fabulous food, The Weedline Band, Polynesian dancers and fire
performers, and the opportunity to bid on luxurious items in a live and
silent auction. We are excited to announce that thanks to our sponsors
and attendees, we were able to raise over $367,000 for Jack & Jill
Center! We would also like to thank our chairpersons for this event: Sally
Beach, Liz Perlman, and Anna Carpenter. Purchase tickets for the 17th
Annual Pediatrix Flip Flops on the Docks presented by Spirit Airlines on
April 2, 2022 at www.flipflopsonthedocks.com. The 18th Annual Flip
Flops on the Docks will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The 20th Annual Power Lunch

...................................On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, The Friends of
Jack & Jill Center hosted the 20th Annual Power Lunch at Global Grille
at First Baptist. This year, the Friends paid tribute to several special and
outstanding honorees in the community who went above and beyond
through their contributions and service to Jack & Jill Center: Herman
Construction - Corporate Honoree, The Frederick A. DeLuca
Foundation - Foundation Honoree, and The Young Professionals
Network at Jack & Jill Center - Volunteer Honoree. Over 250 business
professionals in Broward County and beyond attended this luncheon
featuring Master of Ceremonies and Guest Speaker, Neki Mohan,
Journalist and Entrepreneur, and Guest Speaker, Steve Halmos, CEO of
Halmos Holdings, Inc. We are excited to announce that thanks to our
sponsors and attendees, we were able to raise over $90,000 for Jack &
Jill Center! We would also like to thank our chairpersons for this event:
Kim Curry and Barbara Ryan. Stay tuned for more information on the
21st Annual Power Lunch to be held on September 29, 2022.

The 20th Annual Stiles Light Up Downtown

Silent night? Not tonight!—
spirits bright on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in The Plaza on Las Olas
for the 20th Annual Stiles Light Up Downtown, presented by Joe and
Michele Maiuro. Guests indulged with culinary delights by The
Restaurant People and unlimited beverages while enjoying live musical
entertainment, spectacle entertainment by stilt walkers, and visits with
the one and only Santa Claus. The holidays truly came alive when Ken
Stiles, CEO of Stiles, flipped the switch on the “Stiles Light-O-Matic” to
light the magnificent 30-foot tree in the center of the plaza. We are
excited to announce that thanks to our sponsors and attendees, we were
able to raise over $127,000 for Jack & Jill Center! We would also like to
thank our chairpersons for this event: Angie Parker & Vanessa Goodis
Rogge. Save the date for the 21st Annual Stiles Light Up Downtown—
Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
