Of course, everyone will pick the larger
amount. But the choice isn’t spelled out in such
direct terms. But it is influenced and even
determined by how far you choose to go in your
education, and what talents and learned skills you
bring to the job.
What I would advise young people is to get
the best education you can. Discipline yourself to
do well in school. You will not be sorry that you did.
The better you do in school and the further you go
in your education, the richer your life will most
probably be and the more satisfying your life will
be because the higher you go on the educational
ladder, the more options are open to you. The lower
your educational level, the fewer choices you may
have. And often those choices are not as pleasant.
They may be jobs that are open because nobody
wants them.
Another problem with small incomes is that
saving, and investing is much more difficult with a
small income. Saving and investing is an essential
key to building wealth. It is very desirable to
