supervision can have harmful side effects. Likewise,

over the counter drugs. In general, we are better off

             without them.

Smoking cigarettes has the potential of
shortening a person’s life by a great deal. In fact,

not only shorten a person’s life but also make them

sick in many ways. I know we do see some young
people who smoke, and they imagine, “If I get

cancer in twenty years when I’m forty, I’ll be an old

fogy at that point in time.” Or more commonly,
“Cancer happens, but it won’t happen to me.” It is

amazing how time passes, and before you know it,

young children running around your beautiful

home. I promise you that you won’t want to be sick
at that time or any time. You will want to be as

healthy as can be, so you can enjoy your life and

your family for 100 years or more.

Another pitfall is drinking alcohol to excess.

This is especially dangerous when in combination

with driving a motor vehicle. Forget about it! When
I think of my friends who died at an early age,

usually drinking and driving was involved. I grew

up during the Vietnam War era, but all of my
