You can further reduce the number of car

accidents and their severity by obeying traffic rules,

especially the speeding laws. I know that speed can
be exciting sometimes, but when you drive just a

bit slower, you have more time to react in order to

avoid an accident. And an accident at a slower rate
of speed also does much less damage to cars and

to the people in the cars. Never rush when driving

and understand that there is truth in such sayings
as, “Speed kills” and “Haste makes waste.”

Young people, or should I say, new drivers

should also be humble and understand that it

takes time and practice to become an excellent
driver and a very safe driver. For most drivers that

takes months and even years of practice. It is also
true that in the beginning you will be a more

dangerous driver. Remember that in most things,

“Before you can be great, you have to be good. And
before you are good [at driving], you will be bad or

a beginner or less skilled.” That is the normal

progression in learning most things. Young people
are sometimes unaware of the dangers associated

with driving because it looks so easy to do. New
drivers may also suffer from premature
