friends who died at an early age died as a result of
drinking alcohol and driving a car, not warfare. In
most cases, they also were not wearing a seat belt.
Of course, they did have an excuse as most cars
had no seat belts in the 1960s. But today, always
wear your seat belt. Accidents do not announce
themselves in advance. You never know when an
accident may suddenly happen. They appear out of
the blue in an instant. Stay away from the alcohol,
particularly when driving. And always wear that
seat belt. When people are killed in car accidents,
they often are not wearing a seatbelt. Princess
Diana was rich and famous and beautiful. But she
rode in a speeding car driven by a driver who had
consumed alcohol. She was killed in the crash.
Sometimes it takes a single mistake to end your
dreams and even your life. And the mistakes were
the driver’s not even hers.
Many of the people who make mistakes and
go to jail or prison made their mistakes while under
the influence of alcohol or drugs. It might be as
high as 75% of those who commit crimes and get
convicted. Alcohol and drugs both lead to poor
decisions.
