CHAPTER 4: AVOID DEBT

Debt hurts you. Avoid it because it

harms you and your future. Most people have

debt. It is being marketed to us every day, but
it hurts people, almost every time.

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave

to the lender. Proverbs 22:7

And. Owe no one anything, except to love one
another. Romans 13:8

Be an adult and pay for your stuff!

What is debt and how does it happen? And how

can you prevent yourself from having debt?

Debt is like bleeding except what is being lost is
your money or income rather than blood. But the

first rule of First Aid is to STOP THE BLEEDING.

You can prevent that “bleeding” by avoiding debt
and by getting rid of it as soon as possible if you

have any.

It is easy to take on debt. All one needs to do
is sign that paper and get that shiny new car with

those “low monthly payments”. Most people do just
