Over the next three years BrewDog continued to grow in
terms of capacity, employees, and revenue. But by
March/April 2020 it faced a major challenge when COVID-19
hit causing a national lockdown. However, irrespective of
100 of their bars being closed globally due to the pandemic
BrewDog still managed to grow their total sales for the first
half of 2020 by 15%. This was as a result of very strong
grocery sales and very strong online sales which
compensated for the temporary closure of its bars and its
on-premises wholesale channel.

In August 2020, Brand Finance placed Brewdog in the
world’s top 20 beer brands…with more brand value than
Stella Artois. (20)
BrewDog now had bars in Stockholm, Helsinki, Toyko, Sao
Paulo, Gothenburg, Bologne, Barcelona and Firenze, with
more planned for the USA and other countries.
