Case length is not cast in stone there is nothing that says a case should
be thirty pages long or half a page or anything in between. The essential
feature is that it adds to the learning process and objectives.
Consequently, the case writer must act in the capacity of director
orchestrating how and with what effect is being sought. For example, a
director would direct an actor on how to say his/her lines such as: this is
your wife by emphasising each word. Where he directs the actor’s
emphasis or tone to be placed will change the sense of the phrase e.g.
‘This is your wife’, or
‘This is your wife’ or
‘This is YOUR wife’, or
‘This is your WIFE’.
