JP had 254 publications as of 31 December 2014:13 daily newspapers, 193 paid-for weeklies, 38
                   free titles and ten lifestyle magazines.




                 Furthermore, JP’s growth strategy identified three key factors that it believed
                 would set it up for growth overall, against which brands had to be assessed
                 and grouped accordingly.


                 The three factors were:



                 Advertisers & Products:

                         focusing JPs commercial offer around fewer, better, commercial
                         products which were most attractive to its customers.


                 Geographies:

                         focusing its investments on its primary brands which are in markets
                         where the economics show there is most potential for growth, or where
                         their financial contribution is strong.
