THE NAME






               Chips -V- Crisps: What’s in a name?




               Products have a personality and they are used to ‘engage

               with the customer’. People who bought Tyrrells were

               embracing the concept of all things British. Milner

               developed an increased focus on packaging and use of

               photography to emphasise the uniqueness of Tyrrells Crisps.


               To this end it may be that crisps rather than chips have a

               greater universality in terms of mass market perception and

               familiarity.
