In April 2019 Supermac’s announced that it was to remove

all plastic straws and replace them with paper ones from its
116 outlets and replace them with paper ones thereby

putting the company on a more sustainable footing and

demonstrating its commitment to environmental

sustainability. This was followed with the introduction of
100% recyclable coffee cups, biodegradable burger wraps

and the setting up of Green Teams in its outlets. (Ref 9)
