After the meeting Jim asked Litan if giving up his job at

this time was wise as he had a family to support and was

in the country on a visa. Litan replied that he had

discussed this with his wife and that she would continue

working and that anyway he was fed-up working two jobs

and wanted to concentrate on the company and its

development. In fact, given his experience after applying

for a bank account and funding aid from Edinburgh

Chamber of Commerce, he was thinking of relocating to

Edinburgh from Dundee in order to be closer to the

                 financial centre.

Litan then asked Jim if he would help develop his

application for the Exporting for Growth Export Prize

Competition. Jim agreed that he would help in whatever

way he could but would not be involved in the actual

                 competition or presentation.

In late September 2011 Litan had applied for a Natwest

Business Current Account. With Litan’s permission they

passed his application to their corporate banking section

                 saying:

“I have another customer looking to start up

a new business in the technology sector. The

                                clients name is Litan Bhowmik.
