John 9:34 - They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born
in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
John 9:35 - Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had
found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

John 9:36 - He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on
                                                           him?

John 9:37 - And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he
                                                 that talketh with thee.
John 9:38 - And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

               Lesson Notes:

(John 9:34) – The Pharisees are offended that an unlearned, formally blind, son of a synagogue
parishioner, would dare believe that he could teach temple leaders. They reprimand him as
man born in sin, implying it was possible to be conceived and brought into this world
               differently.
(Ps. 51:5) With no more desire to continue the oral confrontation with a spiritual subordinate
they end the interrogation and dismiss the son.

(John 9:35-36) – Jesus Messiah finds the son and begins a new line of questioning to determine
if he believes in the Son of God. The outcome of the query would determine if the Pharisees
successfully influenced him to ignore the truth for fear of the religious reprisals that threatened
               and jeopardize his family.

Responding to the question about his belief in the son of God he asked, “who is He”? He
followed his query with an affirmation of desire to believe on Him without any concern about
               preserving his religious status.

(John 9:37-38) – Jesus reveals Himself to the son expressing that he has already seen and talked
Him. The son’s miracle is complete when his eyes are spiritually opened to reveal the identity
of the Son of God (God actively present on earth. ) With the eyes of his spirit opened the son begins to
worship. The natural response to spiritual awakening is worship. When the eyes of the spirit
are opened true and perfect worship is the response to seeing the truth about God and the
               world He has created.
