Barcovan Beach is located just east of Presqu’ile
Provincial Park on the shores of Lake Ontario. Each
late winter, around the beginning of March, depending
on the weather, swans flock by the hundreds to the open
waters of the inlet. Local residents feed them and they
can be seen swimming back and forth endlessly along
the coastline. Photographers and visitors come from
near and far to take photos of these large white birds as
they preen and flap and fly. It is difficult to single many
out of the huge flock. They are joined by various ducks
and Canada geese. Take a moment from your shooting
and just admire natures beauty.
