      practices. The  difference  between  a  PRP  and  an
      oPRP  is,  an  oPRP  is  more  specific and has to be
      measurable. PRPs are expected to be validated as
      part of the HACCP programs in GFSI-compliant food
      safety plans.

      Preventive Action
      The  action  to  eliminate  the  cause  of  a  potential
      nonconformity  or  other  undesirable  potential
      situation.

      Procedure
      A specified way to carry out an activity or process.

      Process
      A  set  of  interrelated  and  interacting  activities  that
      transforms inputs into outputs.

      Quality Point (QP)
      A step where control may be lost without presenting
      a  significant quality threat or where a quality threat
      will  not occur at unacceptable levels. Term used in
      SQF  only.

      Registrar (also known as Certification Body or CB)
      An entity authorized to certify its suppliers confirming
      that they conform to the requirements of a specific
      standard.
