US Bills to License Dental Therapists
OTHER STATES
1. None of the other state bills have been grounded on AK
(recruit-train-deploy) and none copied MN.
2. Some bills have intent to boost organized Dental Hygiene
orgs and to provide hygienists a career path, where access
to DT training requires either a prior RDH state license, or
there will be dual RDH/DT training.
3. Other bills are weak because they express no intention to
make public reports on the impact of DTs on the state's
dental health status.
4. Good or bad, "Pass the bill" is the primary focus of all DT
advocates. Successful advocacy is its own reward.
