Post Traumatic Stress is considered complex when
one traumatic event follows another, in a
seemingly never-ending fashion. One does not
have time to recover from an event than s/he is
triggered by another one, and another one.
C-PTS(D) is found in prolonged combat situation,
with first line rescue workers who face constant
traumatic events, in years of child abuse, domestic
violence, satanic rituals and legal abuse.
LAS-Legal Abuse Syndrome
Legal Abuse Syndrome is a term coined by the late
Dr. Karin Huffer, PhD. During her years as a
Marriage and Family Therapist, she observed that
the clients who were going through protracted
litigations would get better… until the next court
date, at which time, they would regress, then get
better, then regress, and so on.
