Work-Life Balance
FGM continued its belief that a healthy work-life balance is paramount to the success of our
business. We see this balance in many ways, including friendly competitions amongst staff,
teaming up to compete against others outside of FGM and through the social events we have
while in the office.
This past year, many FGM’ers once again, took to competing together in a variety of events. For
the fourth summer in a row, Southern Region staff members competed in a volleyball league at
Silver Creek Saloon, while the Northern Region competed at Berens Park in Elmhurst. Another
grueling Tough Mudder was undertaken by Nhi Nhe, Ron Richardson and Michael Becker. Staff
from the North and South joined together to ride
bicycles in the annual Tour de Donut event in
Staunton, Illinois. I am sure there were many
more activities outside of FGM and we continue
to support and encourage participation in the
future.
Also, Marketing continued the “Behind the Studio”, a publication
about the people of FGM and their interests outside of FGM.
FGM’s foundation is built from the architecture of its people.
Continuing to learn more about each other and what drives us
makes us a stronger team with a stronger bond. This year, “Behind
the Studio” morphed to include Poll Questions, where we learned
favorite Thanksgiving side dishes and favorite Christmas movies.
