In May, Elba Villalobos and Maria Carrasco led the Cinco De
Mayo party in Oak Brook which included Mexican music,
authentic Mexican foods including enchiladas, flautas, tamales,
guacamole, Mexican popsicles and chocoflan for desert. Folks
took turns wearing a sombrero and pulling the strings on a piñata.
In August, the Northern Region held a summer event at Arlington
Park Race Track. The weather was beautiful; the horses ran fast
and even a few dollars were won!

Luck feast in November and
had the opportunity to share
what they are thankful for while
the Northern Region had a pot
luck in December. Both regions
had a Christmas White
Elephant gift exchange in
December which landed some
really surprising and expensive
gifts for the many participants.
