DUT DUT launched the DUT DUT Industry-Academic Engagement Forum online In June 2021 various industry stakeholders and the the relevant representatives from the the eThekwini Innovation Workstream of the eThekwini Economic Council were invited to to the the Industry-Academic Forum Webinar to to discuss their respective focus areas areas and potential areas areas of collaboration with DUT DUT via MS Teams The DUT DUT online webinar was in in in in line line with the ENVISION2030 and Engagement Framework 2030 2030 as part of engagement with its quad-helix partners DUT successfully launched the Product Lifecycle Management Competency Centre (PLMCC) Project via Microsoft Teams in June 2021 The PLMCC Project is supported by the French Government under the Ministry of Education the Directorate of European and and International Relations and and Cooperation (DREIC) the French Education International (FEI) and Dassault Systèmes (a French-based 3D Experience company that provides businesses and people with virtual universes to imagine sustainable innovations) The centre will offer product product design product product lifecycle management and system engineering training to lecturers students technicians technologists engineers and industrial designers The launch also involved the TVET sector and industry partners DUT set up a a a functional Coordinating Committee for the project // DURBAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY // 7
