2023 to 2024. However, there has been a downward trend in the percentage of enrolments in all fields of study for all other racial groups, with Business/Commerce (-1%), Education (-0.1%) and Humanities (-0.5%) from 2023 to 2024. These patterns underscore the disparities in enrolment distribution across racial groups in various fields of study.
In the last three years PG enrolments, encompassing programmes up to Master’s level, Master’s and doctoral degrees, have steadily grown. Total enrolments increased from 2,579 in 2022 to 3,282 in 2024, reflecting a significant 21.42% rise over this period. Among these PG students, those in the SET field constituted the majority, accounting for 41.2% of the total PG enrolments in 2024, 1.6% up on 2023, while the Business/Commerce field accounted for 37.7% of the total PG enrolments, and the Humanities comprised 17.2%. In terms of degree levels, there was an increase of 7.6% in doctoral student enrolments from 2023, while Master’s enrolments decreased by 2.2% relative to 2023, as shown in Figure 7.
