It's often the integration of unusual materials
with traditional weaving techniques that
represents my pieces and engages the
viewer.
Fading Memories is a personal story best
placed in the 2010s. A picture of the women
in my family was taken decades earlier, but
with the passage of time, the memories, once
held precious, are fading. In each distressed
handwoven packet, one of the women is
becoming more opaque. As darkness
descends, they all gradually fade from view.
Memories of shared time with the five women
in the Kegelmeyer family are fading. In each
