You can see how the image from the white paper fits into the composition,
but I still need to trim some edges before proceeding with the final step
of waxing. You can use a paper trimmer or a craft knife or scissors and a
straightedge, depending on the size of the work and the thickness of the
paper.
Don’t use the inside opening of the mat as a guide! Remember that the
artwork should be at least 1/2” larger all around than the mat - otherwise, it
will fall through the square opening!
However you choose to trim your work, please use good
safety practices!
