As CBC gets ready to celebrate 40 years (October 1 2023), the Counseling and Pastoral Care
Ministries continue to play an integral role in the life of our church. We believe that the best is yet

to come so we can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in the years to come.

Morning Prayer Ministry: This group continues to meet M-F from 6am-7am reading the Scriptures,

singing, praying and encouraging the people of God. We had two in person fellowships this year at
the Golden Corral on Memorial and Labor Day weekends with an average attendance of 45. Morning

Prayer meetings have an average attendance of 68.

Market Place Prayer Ministry: We visited and prayed for following businesses:

African Pride Food Store, Cornerstone Academy, Kevin’s Barber Shop, La Ezquinita Restaurant,

Mardel Christian and Education, Early Childhood/Adoption Agency, Dickie’s Barbecue, Catfish
Connection, Event Signs, Galleria Spa/Salon, Walgreens and IndoPak World Market

Counseling: We continue to meet clients in person, via Zoom and on the phone. We had 550 ses-

sions on all platforms.

Pastoral Care: 4 baby dedications, 7 weddings, 85 hospital/home visits, and 10 funerals

GriefShare Ministry: We had 2 semesters of 13 weeks each with an average of 10 in attendance. I
would like to give a shout out to Toni Kincaid, Linda Foreman and Roger Walton for their hard work
and dedication to the Ministry.

Divorce Care: We offered two semesters of Divorce Care and had an average of 5 in attendance. We
applaud Neacy Turner, Fred Washington and Anita Moss for making the ministry a success.
