College/Young Adult

                                                                 Ministry

This year was impactful for the young adult ministry as we shifted our methods of learning to be more
engaging and impactful not only for our ministry, but the young adult ministries around us.

                                                                          rd
                                                                   st
The Chat Bible Study was moved to in-person only on the 1 and 3 Tuesdays of the month with an average
attendance of 10. When online, the young adults studied through the book of 1 Corinthians. When the for-
mat was moved to in person in June, the summer series was “How to Face Life’s Challenges”.

The Ambassadors have been the foundational ministry in the formation of a new city-wde young adult
initiative called LinkUP. This ministry is designed to keep young adult ministries from various churches,
connected through worship, fellowship, and biblical discussion as a model of the Kingdom of God. Currently,
there are 4 churches involved in this ministry with the goal of expanding to 6 by the Fall of next year.
         • Cornerstone Church (Arlington)
         • Bethlehem Baptist Church (Mansfield)
         • New Life Fellowship (Arlington)
         • Grace Community Church (Arlington)

We have attended events at Dallas Baptist University and Arlington Baptist University centered around
students finding church homes. Students from ABU have expressed that they have stopped by periodically
         and enjoy our worship.

Min. Al Curley has spoken twice at UTA and ABU during the last school year and is on track to do the same
this year with the intention to have more students know about our ministry and for our ministry to be more
engaged on their campuses. Min. Xavier O’Rourke has been incorporated in the relationship with ABU as
         well.

In an effort to place special emphasis on and help retain the college/career portion of this ministry, a sepa-
rate group chat has been created for our young people ages 18-23. Also, a new Connect Group is set to
launch just for them in October 2023.

We distributed our first batch of college care packages to all college students we are aware of. The next
batch is set to go out at the beginning of the Spring semester.
