Administration Report
Church Administration exist to equip the staff and members of Cornerstone to be the church and to do the
work of the church in a coherent and comprehensive manner. It is the guidance provided by church leadership
to lead the church to use its spiritual, human, physical, and financial resources to move Cornerstone toward
reaching its objectives and fulfilling its purpose.
The following is a summary of the 2022/2023 fiscal year accomplishments:
• Hired three new custodians to replace Joel and Lina Labrador, who moved back home to the
Philippines. We replaced the fulltime worship leader in December, who also resigned in
September of 2023. We have replaced the fulltime worship leader with two part-time people
(one to lead the ministry and one to work admin and lead worship as well). Hired a director of
music to replace Reginal Wright. Hired a new minister of youth. We hired a new Director of
Accounting to replace Dawud Mabon and he also serves as the Facilities Director to replace
Charles Richardson. Carolyn Thornton also retired, but we have not replaced her position at
this time.
• Hosted Teacher Appreciation meals for Williams Elementary and Bebensee Elementary as well
as provided breakfast for Donuts with Dads for Bebensee Elementary.
• We started replacing all ceiling tiles and light covers in both buildings.
• We cleaned the tile flooring in the Academy hallway to get rid of all the dirt and grime.
• Installed new signage in the restrooms for additional communication tools.
• Held a community yard sale and also sold several old items no longer used at the church.
• Completed part one of a major clean up project around the church campus.
• Began our churchwide inventory by adding all computers and laptops to our software. Will be
working on the media equipment and furnishings next.
• Changed out the lighting in the sanctuary when a power strike hit our building and destroyed
our lighting panel. While replacing our outdated unit, we also added additional stage lighting
and a dimmer for the house lighting.
• Thanksgiving food basket giveaway of over 200 baskets of food and the senior shopping
experience served over 125 senior adults.
• The Kitchen Ministry served at every funeral and also delivered food to the homes of
members who held services at other locations. They also served at various ministry events.
• Hosted an active shooter training for leaders, staff, teachers, and Elders.
