Children’s Ministry
The Kingdom Kidz Children’s Ministry primary job is to disciple and nurture children so they can confidently know that
they are made in God’s image, be excited about being rooted in God’s WORD, be faithful to being formed inside of
Kingdom Community and be stewards of purpose, passion and power as they live their lives empowered by God’s Spirit.
• The entire staff of AWANA went through regional trainings in Longview and Fort Worth to refresh
our knowledge of the guiding principles and get connected to current best practices in AWANA
life. We also connected with churches in our region and our AWANA Ambassador.
• AWANA participation grew from 25 to 44 kids per Wednesday and we added 2 new teachers and
6 new volunteers to assist with recreation and Scripture memory.
• We held a Back 2 School prayer drive thru and backpack/school supply giveaway. We distributed
almost 300 backpacks to our congregation and community.
• Relaunched the Y.E.S. (Youth Entering Service) ministry and recruited, trained and oriented 15
students (ages 13-21) who are now actively serving inside of the Kingdom Kidz Children’s Ministry.
• Relaunched the Nursery Ministry w/paid workers and recruited 5 teens and 3 elders (senior saints)
to assist in overseeing our precious little ones.
• Recruited 6 new adults to assist with hospitality and administration for Kingdom Kidz Children’s
Ministry.
• Aligned our Orange Curriculum so that Sunday School and Children’s Worship are learning within
the same scope and cycle. Implemented small groups that lay a foundation for worship and
conversation in the larger worship environment.
• Averaged 50-60 kids in children’s worship all year.
• Worked with Bebensee Elementary’s Donuts w/dads monthly training and donated food 6 months
of the school year.
• Introduced Family F.E.S.T. (Family Empowered Spiritual Training) as a tool to put primary
discipleship back in the hands of our parents.
• Partnered with Cornerstone Academy in multiple ways and held a collaborative end of year
celebration that received rave reviews from the Academy parents and the church parents as well.
• Wrote a 3–5-year vision for system-sustained ministry growth independent of personality.
• We had over 8 kids participate in children’s Bible drill as it returned from 2020.
