Women’s Ministry
The women's ministry exists to prepare women for kingdom living on earth and encourage them in
their waiting for Bridegroom of heaven.
Women’s Ministry Meetings: W.I.S.E.
(Women in study and encouragement) was held on the second Tuesdays of each month. We resumed
meeting in person but continued to offer Zoom access as well. There was an average of 20 women in
person and an average of 40 to 50 online.
Daytime Bible Study
The women’s daytime Bible group studied “Finding Rest in a Busy World” to learn the importance of
rest. In the Spring, the women studied Charles Stanley’s book, Discovering Your Identity in Christ.” The
class meetings were held in person and on Zoom with an average of 45 to 50 women.
Christmas Luncheon
We held our annual Christmas luncheon December 3 with over 130 in attendance. Regenia Crane was
the guest speaker with Dana Hemphill as the special guest singer. We enjoyed a special reading of the
birth of Christ by four of our elementary students.
Prayer Tea
The annual prayer tea was a great success with over a 160-registered guests. The women enjoyed a
Texas styled salad bar and spent time in conversational prayer at their tables. We had six leaders to
introduce the topics and the women prayed in circles around their tables. It was an inspiring time of
prayer.
Widows Luncheon
The ministry hosted a luncheon in September for widows in our church. Eighteen women were in
attendance and enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship.
Sisterhood Gone Live
Many of our women continue to participate in “Sisterhood Gone Live,” a study conducted on Zoom
each Thursday at 6:00 pm with the First Lady of Truevine, Regenia Crane and Lady Vera McKissic.
Debra Shankle and Peggy Smith from Cornerstone help facilitate the group. The Zoom call averages 62
women each week with approximately a third of them from Cornerstone and others joining from
different regions of the country. We held a three-year reunion for Sisterhood Gone Live at Corner-
stone on April 20 with nearly 60 women in the MPR and nearly as many online.
