Daughters of Deborah
The mentoring program for girls in 4th to 12th grades had a successful year that concluded with a re-
treat at Mt. Lebanon in Cedar Hill, Texas. They held the annual end of year celebration after a moving
service with Patricia Ashley as the speaker. We averaged forty-five girls this session year. Twenty-
seven mentors were faithful in leading the young women in lessons and activities. Some of the special
memories included the annual scavenger hunt in the Highlands for the juniors, a trip to the Dallas Mu-
seum, dinner at Chili’s and Olive Garden, and of course the movie outing!
The new session for 2023-24 got off to a great start in September with 46 girls and 21 mentors in
attendance.
