Worship Ministry
Review of the Year:
The Worship Ministry has gone through a few changes throughout this
year with various members of the band and vocal groups retiring or
resigning from their positions.
The ministry continued to thrive despite the changes the ministry faced and ministered each week with
dedication and joy in serving the Lord through music.
We have 40 singers in the Voices of Cornerstone Adult Choir, 23 youth in the youth choir, and 35 children in
the children’s choir.
The youth choir sang on multiple Sundays throughout the year, including Resurrection Sunday and
Mother's Day. They ministered at UTA on June 6th at an event sponsored by the Mayor's Black
Advisory Council. July 30th they lead the entire church in worship for Youth Takeover Sunday.
Rehearsals resumed for the new season in September, and enrollment is open for all 6-12th graders.
Ushers
The ushers ministry continued to serve and increased in their member participation. The lay leader-
ship of the team changed throughout the year, however the team has been steadily growing.
Hospitality
The hospitality team has served each Sunday and their numbers have increased throughout the year.
Special Services
In the month of December, the worship ministry hosted the Tougaloo College Gospel Choir for a
Sunday night concert.
Several members of the adult choir and leadership joined with a metroplex mass choir to sing at
“Together We Sing”, is a night of inspiring gospel and classical music with Erica Campbell and other
artists, as well as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
