Women’s Ministry






           The women's ministry exists to prepare women for kingdom living both on earth and in heaven.

        Women’s Ministry moved monthly W.I.S.E. (Women in study and encouragement) to the 2  and 4
        Wednesday nights. There was an average of 40 women in person and many others on Facebook and
        YouTube.


        The women’s daytime Bible study group studied Experiencing the Love of God in the fall and Following
        God’s Guidance in the spring. Both studies are in the Women of Faith series. Class meetings were held
        in person and on Zoom with an average of 35 to 40 women.

         We held our annual Christmas luncheon with over 130 in attendance and the annual Prayer Tea with
        165 registered guests.

        Many of our women continue to participate in “Sisterhood Gone Live,” a study conducted on Zoom
        each Thursday at 6:00 pm with the First Lady of Truevine, Regenia Crane. Minister Pat Ashley and Lady
        Vera McKissic assist her in teaching. Debra Shankle and Peggy Smith from Cornerstone help to facili-

        tate the group that reaches women across the nation. The Zoom call averages 62 women each week
        with approximately a third of them from Cornerstone!




        A group led by Veronica Griffith completed their studies over the past year and two more were start-
        ed. One group led by Peggy Smith, Tonya Mayes and Wilma McCray and the other by Rosie Pea, Nettie

        Richardson and Carnise Streaty. The meetings are held mostly in the foyer of the sanctuary since the
        onset of the COVID pandemic and a few on Zoom.

        The mentoring program for girls in 4  to 12  grades returned to meeting in-person. We averaged fifty
        girls this year.  Nineteen mentors were faithful in leading the young women in lessons and activities.
        Some of the special memories included an experimental shopping trip and tea for the senior girls, the
        annual scavenger hunt in the Highlands for the juniors and a live stage play at Theater Arlington for all.
        The Daughters ended the year with a celebration in the Multi-purpose center.
