College/Young Adult
Ministry
The Ambassador Young Adult Ministry exists to empower students and young professionals to Know,
Grow, Show, and Go share the love of Jesus Christ in the world.
The ministry focuses on the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of young adults ages 18-35 in the
body of Christ.
• The Ambassadors started off the year having Sunday School at Starbucks which brought inter-
est and attendance. Sunday School has since moved back on campus, currently in room 318
where numbers steadily increase, with a current average in person attendance of 7 from 1-2
at the end of 2021.
• New sweaters were designed for our Ambassadors ministry.
rd
• We began the year with worship nights every 3 Friday which eventually brough a viewer
from India on our virtual platform who commented that they were blessed.
st
• In February, the Ambassadors launched The Chat: a Bible based topical discussion every 1
rd
and 3 Thursday on Instagram Live. Topics discussed have been “Setting Biblical Expecta-
tions”, Building Godly Habits, Life Reset, and other like Stewardship led by Bro. Dawud Ma-
bon, and Mental Health led by Alice Ward and Nicholas Young both licensed counselors.
• Also in February, the Ambassadors hosted DATE NIGHT at Savor Coffee Shop. 55 young adults
registered for this Christians mixer and representatives from Texas Baptist have asked to
sponsor the next one to have greater impact.
• The Ambassador Leadership Council has visited UTA’s BSM a few times this year in worship
and also as Pastor Al has spoken to their student for a service. This relationship continues to
grow and there are already plans for Cornerstone’s engagement in the 2022-2023 school year.
• The Ambassadors partnered with the young adults from Word of Peace to engage UTA’s cam-
pus for their Organization Fair as an act of outreach and evangelism. 150 bags were packed
and distributed to students with practical and biblical resources at an event which gleans
thousands each year.
• This year we have began preparation for College Impact Groups, which seeks to engage vari-
ous colleges, and seminaries near us (UTA, DBU, ABU, TCC, Southwestern, DTS), as we seek to
be a resource to these institutions and also encourage students to consider Cornerstone as
their spiritual home.
