Youth Ministry
The STONECrew Youth Ministry seeks to build a foundation of
Christian faith by providing and implementing Biblical instruction which is relevant, timely, and cur-
rent for youth in an ever-changing media driven society.

• This year we launched our 5 Sunday Student Services. These services are student run from
beginning to end. This gives students an opportunity in ministry leadership. Students gave les-
sons in these services and even once in the main service. Students have also participated in
main worship by praying, reading scripture, offertory appeal, and The Connection.
• Bible Study series the Crew engaged in this year were DISTINCT; a 4-week series from the New
Testament on Identity, ATOMIC: a 4-week series developing spiritual habits, a series on Spir-
itual Disciplines, and keeping parallel with our parent body Bible study as well.
• The Crew also was intentional about fostering partnerships with other churches as a form of
fellowship. Bethlehem Baptist Church was a main partner this year. We attended their stu-
dent service in March, and Bethlehem visited with us for our service in May. Both services had
rooms packed with students.
• This year, Cornerstone recognized 19 graduating seniors during worship, 7 of which received
scholarships totaling $15,000 from Cornerstone and $2,000 from a STEM program given by
one of our members.
• VBS was in full effect this year with the theme Created in Christ, Designed for God’s Purpose,
from Ephesians 2:10. As last year was completely virtual, this year we were blessed to bring it
completely in person.
• Students traveled to Waco, TX on a mission trip sponsored by BOUNCE Missions. There, stu-
dents and young adult leaders were able to begin reconstruction of a lady’s roof, and also
complete the painting of a disabled man’s home. Following the completion of the painting,
the homeowner Wendell prepared a nice meal for the Cornerstone participants and received
a Bible.
• Sunday School attendance has shifted to majority online since the pandemic and students are
growing, there are a plethora of teachers who have signed up and been instructing our stu-
dents with their creativity and biblical insight. As a part of our intergenerational initiative. We
have added a young adult couple (Alex and Joseph Hooks) to the teaching rotation every oth-
er month to add to the young adult presence in our student ministry and are looking to
onboard another young adult pair in 2023.
