Distinguished Merit awards were presented, such as the dubious T-Bone Award
for, well you can figure it out; the Magellan Award for sailing the longest way
around the course; the Flub, Glub Glub Award for swamping and possibly
sinking; as well as the Rear View Mirror presented to the current fleet champion,
Jonathan Simpson. The rest of the winners shall remain nameless.
During the party, our very own Master of Ceremonies, Frank Neeson, hosted our
Dinner Party Contest! – “You May Be an Ensign Sailor, if…” Taking a page from
comedian Jeff Foxworthy’s “You may be a redneck if…”, the fleet was
encouraged to dream up their own answers to the question, “You May Be an
Ensign Sailor, if…” and present them at the party. I especially liked "You may be
an Ensign sailor if your boat is older than you." Needless to say, it was great fun.
My thanks go out to the entire fleet for making the event such great fun.

Despite not having our annual awards ceremony known as Skippers’ Night, it is
scheduled for some time in April or May and being a bit unfamiliar with the high
point average scoring system chosen to score the 2022 results, I have ventured
to guess at the final results for 2022. I have concluded that Jim Anderson
