Fleet Captain: John Mielke
Fleet 20 races at Wayzata Yacht Club
on beautiful Lake Minnetonka
approximately 13 miles west of
downtown Minneapolis.
The main race night is Thursday night
with over 125 boats under sail. We
have multiple fleets starting on two
courses and are happy to have enough
Ensigns to qualify for our own one- Bluebird day on Lake
design competition. The competition is Minnetonka. Le Petit Grande

Two new Ensigns have been added in the last year: Forever Fleeting
and Sea Baby. Many of our Ensigns have been handed down from
parents to children. We have four boats that are sailed by two or three
family members.
One of our boats competed at the National Regatta in Pentwater
(Mielke/Maloney). This was a well-run regatta and was great fun.
Thanks Pentwater!
Our spring meeting is planned for March 21. We hope to attract more
Ensigns from the area to join our fleet and keep our one-design fleet
active at WYC.
